Monsoon humidity above 85% combined with warm temperatures creates ideal conditions for fungal and bacterial outbreaks. Late blight, powdery mildew, and anthracnose spread fastest during prolonged leaf wetness. The key to control is prevention before the symptoms appear.
Rain washes away any foliar application, so time sprays to a 24–48 hour dry window. Spray in the early morning after dew dries, or late evening. Never spray in full sun or immediately before rain.
Alternate between protectant modes of action. Using the same product repeatedly allows pathogens to develop tolerance. Botanical extracts containing multiple active compounds naturally slow resistance build-up.
After heavy rainfall, replenish nitrogen that washes out and strengthen the crop with an immunity product. Stressed plants recover faster when given nutrition and protection together.
